Here are the project topics for Unit 2: Period 2 or Period 3. Make sure to look them over and then come to me to add your name to a topic. If you would like to choose a topic that is not on these lists, just run the idea by me or Mr Boucher so we can make sure it will work.
Here is a copy of the assignment outline for Unit 2.
Here is a copy of the RUBRIC we will be using to evaluate you this Unit.
We looked at some of the long-term causes of the Great Depression and related problems today: Overproduction, Export-based economy, Relation to the USA, Drought and Black Tuesday.
Here are some pictures of the notes both classes produced.
We will be having work period on both days. Please bring your devices if you have them on Friday as only 14 chromebooks will be available.
The focus for both days will be making connections to this week's expectation. Specifically, relating your chosen topic to Social, Economic and Political events, changes, etc. Look for changes that happened (positive or negative), events that were started, or ended as a result. Explain WHY this was so. Why is this important to the people then and to us now?
Things to look for: Different motivations, different targets, what "rules" are being used here?
Here is the link for Period 2's Biopic topics. You will be researching one of these topics and describing the biographical movie that you want to make about them. In the instructions on the document, there are some key things to keep in mind and to make sure you include in your biography. Remember to include which actors should play a part in the film! Please make sure to only make changes to your own work as I can see who makes the changes to the document.

We also have the weekly question to look at:
Think about the following when answer the question:
Social Impacts - How many people did their actions affect?
What did they do? Why remember this?
Why is this so different from what everyone else did? (ie: socially, politically, economically)
